you can't really tell by this picture but this is the bathroom fan vent tube. It is 100% blocked by a bad installation. In all the years that the occupants faithfully turned on the bathroom fan, not a square inch of air ever passed to the great outdoors. 
They covered up this beautiful window! What a shame. We'll probably have to cover it up as well but at least it saw the light of day for a few weeks.
