September and October

We actually have done a lot of fun things but we've been having technical difficulties so a lot is missing. Our trip to Saltspring was great with Marvin and Heather. The kids had fun together on the row boat and the playground and the parents enjoyed the market, good food and some adult conversation! Then it was Thanksgiving at the Wainwright's with Steve and Kara and family. Lots of good food and a chance to catch up with friends on the Sunday. On the holiday Monday we started our demolision as shown in the pics. Its been sunny and beautiful for a lot of October so we've been to the park a few times, to the aquarium with Heather and Dana, storytime with Jennifer and Dana, cruising around Nester's with Caralyn (the big kids pushing the kid's trolleys around the store, its pretty cute!), to BabyEats with Sue, Jennifer and Heather and more...

Daddy playing with the boys...

He was reluctant but I knew once he got started he'd be having fun. I'm talking about Daddy! He loves carving pumpkins with the boys so out came all of the tools - the torch, the ketchup, various knives and finally a candle. The boys weren't too keen when Daddy put their hands inside the pumpkin, it was too messy! Now one sleep until halloween and my lion and cowboy emerge for the day.

The Pumpkin Patch

A nice sunny day, blue sky, orange pumpkins and happy kids. What more could we ask for? Dana and I took the kids out for the day to ride the wagon, choose pumpkins and find our way out of the maze. The mud was an extra bit of fun for the kids. I didn't have as much fun as I spent the rest of the day removing the mud from clothes and boots! Bentley got a little mixed up about pumpkins when he saw the pumpkin dancing to the music. Now they are people? No Bentley he is just pretending to be a pumpkin... This whole make believe and dress up is a bit confusing when you are 3. Ethan just danced to the music and got excited about the "train" - the wagon, he wasn't worried about dancing vegetables.

Fixing up our room

The boys always love to pull their little chairs and watch construction! When the painter was here they sat at the edge of the room in their chairs and watched - until they got bored. This time it was daddy ripping out the old tiny bathroom getting it ready to become a tiny bathroom/laundry combination. Then removing wallpaper getting ready to paint our bedroom...a very dark grey. It looks good so far, just needs some finishing and a new light fixture before the furniture goes back.
